It’s been a while since spending some time walking the shoreline. Just as I was getting ready to drive away, I jumped out of the car to get this shot. Funny how seagulls are so easily fooled. Only took a me throwing a small rock to draw their attention. #kingsbeach #swampscottma #seagulls #fujix100f #x100f

A day early for #TBT, but that leaves another opportunity for tomorrow... The boys have always were instrumental in my interest in photography. This lasted only so long with Ryan though. Based on the facial expression, we may have been hitting the “oh, come on dad, not another one” phase... This was taken in or about 1995...

We have but a few regular place we frequent. Coopers Hawk is one of them. In the last couple of years there, I believe we have got to meet much of the staff and we are on a first name basis. Here are just a couple that happened to stop by and say hello and posed. #coopershawkwinery #coppershawkstcharles #coopershawk

Caught the girls taking a selfie. Having the my trusty #fujix100f with me at almost all times really allows for this type of capture. If you are looking to pick up a camera that is relatively compact, has lots of controls and yet at the same time, pretty easy to use, check it out...

We got a very spontaneous opportunity to hang out with @jpsanzo and @gina_jess this weekend once decided to to spend an afternoon in the city. At one point Joe pulls out his phone and shows pictures from the day we all first met. I was like “hey, you have to send those to me”... Joe responds, “umm.. sure, but i got them from the album you shared with me”.. hahaha. Duh..

Part two of the story in San Juan. Here is the best shot I took of Ross & Mary. The story they shared with us while in their home was just beautiful. They married in 1984 after meeting at a party. Ross shared that this is his 4th wife and last. And, it is his one true love. As we exited their home, Ross pulled us aside and said “I have to say this when Mary is not around, but I just want you to know, Mary is 96... Just wanted you to know”.. we all nearly fell to the ground. She did not look it, physically or mentally. Meeting Mary & Ross was a very spiritual experience for me. It is a reminder to me, which i need at times, that aging and growing old is not natural. At heart and mind, we are all young. That is how we were created.

Yesterday morning we arrived into San Juan PR. Honestly, we had no idea what we wanted to do while there. In fact, while we were disembarking from the ship, we noticed a number of people coming back aboard after just a short time ashore. But us, we made a great story. After stopping for a Mojito (or two), we ventured out of the tourist trap area into the closest neighborhood. While walking by some home, one home had a open air entrance that was gated. After passing by it, i said, “check this out, you can see in”... Edie and our fellow traveler Slate stuck their head up to the grate to look in and an older gentleman approached. We engaged him , trying not to freak him out. We complimented him on his home and right he way he began to unlock the grate and invited us in. We must have spent 30 - 45 minutes chatting with him and his wife.... Meet Ross. Originally from Dallas and moved to PR in 1993. More to come about Ross and Mary in the next few posts.

I met Tony during the Sail Away Party and chatted about things going on that evening. The topic of Karaoke came up. Tony mentioned he would be there and we should join them... “umm, sure , i guess so. sounds like fun”. ;-) #royalcaribeancruise #harmonyoftheseas
